"Are doctors hard to understand?"

Medical Transcription: What’s in it for you?
Go to Source
That’s a question I hear pretty often from people who are interested in medical transcription.

The answer, put simply, is yes, they are hard to understand, particularly when they’re dictating into their armpit instead of a microphone. But the question being asked is really whether or not medical words are difficult to understand or difficult to work with, and that answer is no, not once you learn medical terminology. Unless, of course, there is an armpit involved.

But if you want to lend an ear and see for yourself, you can listen to the practice dictation recordings found here, provided by the kind folks at Transcription411.
