Yesterday was a typical spring day around here, a steady downpour of drenching rain… perfect weather for a power hour day.

Without the distracting birds and bees and fluffy white spring clouds adrift in a brilliant blue sky that I was dealing with last Friday, I hit the keyboard at full speed for an hour at a time with no interruptions. The purpose of this ordeal, I mean exercise, is to see how many lines I can produce when I really make an effort. As usual, I tortured, I mean tested, myself three times throughout the day.

Three power hours later, the results are in:

8:30 to 9:30……….403 lines
11:00 to 12:00……427 lines
2:00 to 3:00……….399 lines

Total lines in 3 hours…….1229. Average speed…….409 lines per hour

And at the end of the day, when the agony, I mean testing, was completed…my reward:
