There is hope after all - I hope, after all.

It's true, it really is! You have to kiss a lot of toads.

I think I found my niche. The latest job pretty much mostly fits my criteria with a bit of compromise on my part on things that probably weren't the do-all, end-all of MT, but I think it's a good fit. At least it feels comfortable and once again, I am feeling the relaxed sense of "content."

Except SR is at my heels even as we speak, though not on the horizon for at least the rest of this year.

I'll take a deep breath, enjoy it while I can and go ahead and prepare myself for the next adventure.

Unrealistic expectations?

in

I'm beginning to think that it's me at this point. I believe I have developed delusions and unrealistic expectations about the MT industry and what I consider to be fair and reasonable.

Here is what I would like my job (employee) to be like on a routine, daily basis, allowing for some mutual flexibility:

Another Announcement...

Well I just had to share Smiling As of today, it's been a month - 4 weeks - and not a puff! I still can't believe I've done it! Me? Total lack of self-discipline, gutless wonder, former 2-ppd smoker, I've gone 4 weeks (sounds longer than A month) and no puffee. I'm just kind of amazed. Laughing out loud

Next on the list: Lose 40 pounds (well, by the time I get to it, it might be more like 60) Note to Self: Nix the Bacos Sandwiches.

Your Favorite Junk Music

in

With a lot of focus on music the past few days, I went on a MySpace search for a new song for my page. So many songs...so little....

I've gotten pretty choosy about music over the past few years and prefer a more eclectic choice, have upgraded my musical tastes so to speak, but darned if I don't still just LOVE the "junk music" just as much - you know, the tunes that take more technical know-how than real talent to produce. On the top of my list is Enrique Iglesias. Of course, I also enjoy his father's voice as well, but the boy has something about him...

Just a short announcement ...

I actually forgot - 2 weeks now and NO SMOKEE !!!

And starting to feel lots better too.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but I am Smiling

Glamorous?

in

Over the years, as I have attempted to "explain" what it is I do for a living, I can guarantee that the ONLY thing anyone remembered about what I do this: That medical thing from home.

I've had several comments recently indicating they think this is "glamorous"... LOL. I honestly cannot begin to imagine much of anything LESS glamorous as this!

This too shall pass (I think the worst is over, cold turkey part III)

in

Things are beginning to slow down, even out and I am feeling much more back to normal. I wasn't sure I was going to make it through those few days.

I think everyone responds/reacts differently. I babied out. I honestly almost thought about going out and buying a pacifier. LOL.

My mood is more normal, I'm coping with the cravings now. They are much less intense.

I’ll-B-Crabbie & Bitch (… going cold turkey, part II)

I’ve heard this can make you crabby. I saw it years ago when an ex-boss tried to give it up. But I was not prepared for this. I was not prepared for the homicidal feelings it invokes. The anger.

Don't Feed The Bears...

... For that matter, don't even get within 100 yards of them, at least not this one anyway.

Veggies, veggies every where...

in

We planted vegetables this year. The standard stuff - tomatoes, peppers, cukes, zukes and various and sundry herbs.

The Mr. decided we "needed" 12 tomato plants, all planted 6 inches apart. Have you ever tried to pick tomatoes standing on your head? That's about what it was - the only way I could see the ready-to-pick ones, much less reach in and get them was to practically stand on my head. I hate the tomato vine stink, too.
