MT Exchange Updated

in

I finally got totally fed up with the lack of service at my server hosting facility, so the past two weeks have been spent moving web sites to a new server.

To those of you whose accounts were deleted with a message that you violated the Terms of Service - I apologize! Yes, I received e-mail from many of you. I remembered after deleting many of them that the automated e-mail would be sent but at that point, couldn't do anything about it. I had to reduce the size of the database in order to move it, so many inactive users got deleted. Feel free to register again and I will make an effort to blog more regularly so there's a reason to return.

The site has also been updated and will continue to be updated to make it as enjoyable as possible.

MT Exchange is part of the Transcription Connections network of transcription-related web sites. I've listed them below and they are also included in the Weblinks section.

MT Registry: Registry of sites for employers and transcriptionists to get together for their mutual benefit. If you're a transcriptionist, register your resume so employers can find you. Please try to remember to deactivate your resume when you aren't looking for a job - you can reactivate it again if necessary.

MT Reference: Directory of web links tailored to medical transcription research and reference. Please submit additional links if you have a favorite site you find very useful but don't see at MT Reference.

MT Reference Style Guide for Medical Transcription: The Style Guide is a massive work in progress in wiki format. I chose the wiki format because it's fully searchable, indexed and very conducive for a community-based project such as this.

MT Neighborhood: Free discussion forums for medical transcriptionists. These are in the threaded format so many MTs are accustomed to. Feel free to submit a request for your own forum.

Transcription Schools: Ultimately, a directory of transcription schools (all types of transcription, not just medical) with information about each. The goal is to provide one place to research education options for transcription careers.

Transcription Work at Home: Let's face it - a lot of people are interested in work-at-home careers and transcription is close to the top of the list. TxWAH is working towards providing realistic information.

Transcription Registry: Unlike MT Registry, which is geared towards transcriptionists who are looking for employment situations, TxRegistry is a directory listing of individuals and companies providing all types of transcription service.
